I'm a building surveyor based in Telford, covering Wolverhampton and the West Midlands, with a BSc in Building Surveying (2020). In my day job I manage between 100 and 120 live repair and refurbishment projects at any one time, from roofs to full strip-outs. Frequently asked questions
Do you need to visit the property?
Usually not. Schedules of works, dilapidations reviews, CDM plans and defect reviews can normally be done remotely from your photos, videos and drawings. Schedules of condition need a site visit, which I carry out across the West Midlands. If I think a visit is needed for anything else, I will tell you before you pay.
Are you RICS chartered?
No. I hold a BSc in Building Surveying but I am not RICS chartered, so I do not carry out RICS Level 2 or Level 3 homebuyer surveys or act as an appointed party wall surveyor. What I offer is practical, experienced technical support at fixed prices.
How quickly will I get my report?
You get a fixed quote within 24 hours. Most remote reports are delivered within 2 to 5 working days, and defect reviews from photos are often turned round in 1 to 2 days. The delivery date is agreed up front.
Are your schedules of works suitable for lenders?
Yes. Schedules of works are set out room by room with clear descriptions and quantities, in an editable format suitable for builder quotes, tendering and bridging or refurbishment lenders. Tell me your lender's requirements and I will set the schedule out to match.
